 Orange Festival - December 5-7, 2008 - December 4-6, 2009
 Medal of Honor Park, 1292 Barriere Road, Belle Chasse
 This festival was started over 60 years ago to celebrate the industrious citrus growers of Plaquemines Parish, and is held annually as a harvest festival. Each year has a residing Orange Festival King & Queen nd other local area festival queens can be seen in attendance. Guests can enjoy locally grown citrus fruits and cuisine, live music, crafts, and a carnival style midway. The fesitval is held the first full weekend of December.
  
 Buras Fire Department Boil - off - April 18, 2009

 Enjoy this all you can eat Crawfish Boil - off. This is a good natured competition for those who wish to prove they have the best boiled crawfish event is to raise funds for the department's improvement projects.

A Blue Angels flight demonstration exhibits choreographed refinements of skills possessed by all naval aviators. It includes the graceful aerobatic maneuvers of the four-plane Diamond Formation, in concert with the fast-paced, high-performance maneuvers of its two Solo Pilots.
 
 Heritage & Seafood Festival - May 22-24, 2009
 Medal of Honor Park, 1292 Barriere Road, Belle Chasse
 This festival celebrates the rich and vibrant heritage of the people of Plaquemines Parish. Guests can enjoy great seafood and other local cuisine, live music, crafts from local artists, helicopter and carnival rides. This event is fun for the whole family and is held each year on Memorial Day weekend to benefit the Knights of Columbus.
  
 Empire South Pass Fishing Rodeo - August 13-15, 2009
 The Delta Marina, 317 Rose Marie Drive, Empire
 The oldest and most established fishing rodeo in Plaquemines Parish has returned after Hurricane Katrina. For over 60 years the ESP has been helping area charities while offering a fishing tournament with music and fun after dark to the community. Look for this event every August to compete in such categories as tarpon, wahoo, dolphin, tuna, amberjack, cobia, mangrove snappers, black drum, flounder, redfish, speckled trout, flounder, sheepshead and black drum.
  
 Our Lady of Perpetual Help Fair - September 25-27, 2009
 OLPH School, 8970 Highway 23, Belle Chasse
 The fair takes place in early fall and raises money for OLPH school. Guests can enjoy great food, music, crafts and rides. This event is a wonderful way to help a local Plaquemines Parish school and have a fun time for the whole family.
